This summer, we privately reached out to women in Atlanta that we know and respect, those who are literally #dointhework needed to improve the quality of people’s lives. With their guidance and support, we launched CCI’s first Summer of Self-Care: a series of informational sessions that directly address personal and professional barriers to good health and wellbeing.
Read MoreOn June 4th, a group of Black arts community leaders in Atlanta sent a letter to the Community Foundation in response to the omission of black arts groups from $580,000 in Arts fund grantmaking. The letter was signed by 30+ community organizations. Thanks to some targeted advocacy, the Foundation is reevaluating its application process for the remaining funds in the 2020 cycle according to their post dated May 29th.
