Despite its historical narrative around equality

ATLANTA IS AMERICA’S MOST UNEQUAL CITY

 EVENTS

The Center for Civic Innovation is bringing back our annual improv comedy show on Thursday, September 15 at 6:00p at Dad's Garage! The comedy show is a night of laughter, games, and celebration. The evening will feature professional improvisers, and also... some of our favorite Atlanta community leaders as special guests! CCI's comedy show is a fundraiser for our 8th birthday to support our organization's civic engagement efforts.

Please note: We are closely monitoring the latest public health guidance and best practices related to the COVID-19 pandemic. The rates of local cases and vaccinations impact our practices, so our plans are subject to change as needed.

Inequality In Philanthropy

Black women are pioneers of social innovation and their long history of working to create community must be recognized. Our Inequality in Philanthropy work is led by an advisory group of Black female leaders who understand firsthand how long-standing power dynamics within philanthropic institutions restrict their ability to raise capital. They are addressing these deep-rooted biases and broken processes by designing a new way for how philanthropy should, and could operate in the future in Atlanta.

ABOUT US

Every single person on our team is driven by an unapologetic love for Atlanta. We show up to work with our whole selves ready to fight for our city, and our diversity is rooted in our professional and lived experiences.

Our team is a healthy mix of policy nerds, community organizers, entrepreneurs, creatives, social advocates, and students of history. Some of us were born here and others just got here. No matter our places of origin, we are connected to one another by a shared love of Atlanta. Together, we forge ahead with both excitement for our work and frustration about the amount of time and struggle real progress can take.

We love ATLANTA, and we are the home of good trouble.
