Mission

Carrie’s Closet’s mission is to establish, with the support of state and local communities, mobile clothing closets with quality and affordable clothing for children in foster care.

Summary

Carrie's Closet is a nonprofit organization that seeks to improve child welfare for youth that are removed from their homes and placed in the foster care system. The organization is a mobile clothing closet that meets the immediate needs of children by providing new and gently worn clothes, car seats, strollers, and diapers which are donated from the community, the DFCS, and other community agencies.

Experience

A graduate of the University of Georgia and Florida State University, Mamie has a certificate in child welfare and is a trained mental health specialist.
