About the Speaker

Brett Daniels currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer for the Atlanta Super Bowl Host Committee (Host Committee), where he oversees all aspects of planning and preparation for Super Bowl LIII, to be held in Atlanta on February 3, 2019. Prior to his work with the Host Committee, Daniels spent 2017 in a similar role helping Atlanta prepare to host the 2018 College Football Playoff National Championship at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Prior to leading the Host Committee, Daniels spent nearly three years as the Deputy Director of Athletics at Georgia Tech, where he oversaw all external operations for the athletic department, including marketing, sales, communications and broadcasting. During his time on campus, he led a number of key initiatives, including initial negotiations around a new athletic department apparel contract, launch of the ACC Network, and development of a new strategic plan.

Daniels spent 25 years with the Dallas Cowboys organization in a variety of senior corporate communications and brand roles where he developed and implemented brand standards across the entire Cowboys organization and planned and managed the Cowboys Branding & Corporate Sponsorships integration. He also led the design and implementation for both interior and exterior spaces at AT&T Stadium and played a key role in the administration of numerous major events, including Super Bowl XLV, the NBA All-Star Game and neutral-site college football games.

While with the Cowboys organization, Daniels also served as the Co-Executive Director of the North Texas Local Organizing Committee for the 2014 NCAA Final Four. He was responsible for all facets of bid development, presentations and coordination of site visits, and also handled management and operations for the Final Four. 
A native of Oklahoma City, he graduated cum laude from Southern Methodist University in 1989 with a bachelor's degree in television & radio broadcasting and a minor in business administration. He later earned his MBA from SMU in 2000.

He and his wife, Carla, who is a native of Atlanta, have two sons - Mason (16) and Alden (12).
