Food Access Lab Resident 2015
Grow where you are
Grow Where You Are emerged so that farmers could stand up to shape our own agenda. We need to articulate our needs and fight for our rights in the future of farming and support our families so we can buy the food we grow.
Grow Where You Are is a dynamic, full service social enterprise committed to providing Agro-Ecology training and life skills workshops to evolve urban dwellers into global stewards. The enterprise works to inspire people to grow quality, local food in beautiful systems that support the ecology, stimulate the economy, and improve human health by partnering with organizations and individuals to bring food abundance to communities and those who value real food. The non-profit has transformed over 30 blighted properties into community food gardens and vegetable farms and trained over 500 people including youth in the dynamic form of urban agriculture they espouse.
