A CCI & Creative Loafing Collaboration
What is Social Studies? It’s a down-and-dirty diatribe on the state of our city. It’s a conversation series designed to make some noise and simultaneously cut through it. It’s an attempt to pull at the cultural, political, and economic threads shaping Atlanta's future. It’s intellectual and intersectional. And, most importantly, it’s very necessary. A collaboration between Creative Loafing and the Center for Civic Innovation, Social Studies is a free bi-monthly convo series to engage the public around current issues.

What's Going Down at Underground?
Since making our homes in South Downtown, Creative Loafing and the Center for Civic Innovation have made it a priority to keep the public updated on the ongoing events surrounding the sale of Underground Atlanta. On Monday, December 5, 2016, the Atlanta City Council approved legislation that would transfer ownership of several Downtown public city streets to private buyers of the property without required public input. What does this mean for our city?
Join us for our final Social Studies of 2016 as we explore these most recent proposed changes for Underground Atlanta and learn what you can do to voice your opinion.
Doors open at 6:00 p.m.
Discussion begins at 6:30 p.m.
