Real Talk: Lessons Learned from Boxcar Grocer

FREE for members, $10 for non-members

Join us for the second installment of our Real Talk series. This is a space for up and coming leaders in Atlanta to raise their voice to shed light on their work, the positive way they are changing our city and the challenges and even failures they have faced. The presentation will be honest and forthcoming about the experiences these dynamic leaders face as they work to make Atlanta a place they are proud to call home. Presentation will be followed by a Q&A with the speaker.

Our speakers:

Local entrepreneurs Alison Cross and Alphonzo Cross recently closed their Boxcar Grocer Castleberry Hill location despite national and local press coverage and lots of talent. Efforts to scale the healthy corner store came with challenges that differed from the start-up years they spent establishing their brand. Hear them speak about the issues they encountered as social entrepreneurs and learn more about how their experience can help other small business owners. You can read more about their story here.
